Pu Chi Tu, named after the original
Poochie we had back in the 1970's, was the longest-lived pekingese my family
ever had. She died on July 10, 2001, after an illness. Pu Chi was no
doubt the alpha girl of the house. She let people know who was boss dog
around the place. Pu Chi loved dog biscuits
,
and when she wasn't eating, you'd almost always find her in her favorite
position
.
She was also my dad's favorite dog. Now she rests in the same area in the
back of our yard in Oklahoma where the first Poochie (& my zebra finch,
Silverbolt) is buried. The pekes' graves are marked with a little plaque
that has their names on them. Dad says he also plans to put up some edging
and plant some grass in that particular area of the garden for them.
